Review of The Letter (1940) by Robbie H — 12 Jul 2010
Incredible opening scene..wow..loved bette davis in this ..one of her best roles...the cinematography is outstanding..very atmospheric and dark...lots of suspense..eery score by max steiner...gale sondergaard was insanely creepy and doesnt utter a word.
..its hard to give a William Wyler film a bad review..he was a very talented director...this film really has that "glossy" look we come to love from the black n white classics.
