Review of The Letter (1940) by Benjamin S — 21 Sep 2009
Not one of Bette's better films, but still Davis gives an outstanding performance. Herbert Marshall is in fine form as Davis' devoted husband and plantation owner. Film gets dragged down towards the end but it's Davis' performance that sparks the fire.
