Review of The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976) by Naische F — 15 Feb 2008
Ben Gazzara shows once again why he is one of the greatest actors ever! Cassavettes does a wonderful job of putting the viewer right there in the midst of the action from the flow of the dialogue to the various locales.
I really felt for Ben during his mission and trying to run a decent show at the club! Very underrated stuff and worth a look, especially on the Criterion dvd set! Just too darn good!
