Review of The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976) by Tiziano H — 10 Feb 2011
The 1978 directors cut at 108 minutes is the version to see. I believe the lower rating is for the 148 minute version which inferior to the directors cut. Hence the lower rating on RT's. This movie has a seamless magic.
Think Mean Streets, Taxi Driver. I highly recommend this. Johnathan Rosenbaum said it best:" a postnoir masterpiece.".
