Review of The Keep (1983) by John A — 01 Jul 2014
Michael Mann's Controversial Second Film, Is A Synth-Soaked Atmospheric Gothic Horror. This Film Has A Lot Of Terrible Moments, But Features Beautiful F/X, Although Dated Now, It's Still Visually Entertaining.
Tangerine Dream's Synth Soaked Soundtrack Is Perfect To Keep The Atmosphere The Film-Making Produces. A Great Atmospheric Gothic Horror, But Sadly Bad On So Many Levels. Apparently This Is The Only Film Directed By Mann (Excluding His TV Movie Debut), That Has Not Been Released On DVD.
This Film Is Worth The Watch And Has A Cult Following.
