A friend of mine payed $72 for a video copy of this film. It has now been released in the new Jodorowsky box set (4 films/2 cd soundtracks for only $40). This film is over-the-top, insane, grotesque and surreal. It is also profound, deeply spiritual, and intensely imagistic (symbolic structure). I envy those of you who have not seen it yet... the first 25 minutes challenge you as a film viewer, the next 40 minutes challenge human social structures, and the rest of the film is a meditation on the.
