Review of The Holy Mountain (1973) by Matt K — 10 Jul 2010
One of the greatest films ever made. Jodorowsky takes his craziness from El Topo and refines it here. Everything seems to make some strange kind of sense and follow each other. Add to that his technical skills have improved considerably.
Every 2.35 frame is beautifully composed and colorful and filled with amazing things. You need to see the movie twice at least just to take it all in. If you can, see it in a theater.
