Review of The Holy Mountain (1973) by Eduardo S — 08 Oct 2014
A movie so seeped in symbolism, it can be quite a daunting task to watch. Still, it's a beautiful, absurd, poetic journey about finding one's own inner "god", free from anyone else's interpretation.
Along the way, Jodorowsky creates some of the most dynamic, stunning visuals ever captured on screen. I love almost every second of it, even while admitting parts of it flew straight over my head. A film I will most certainly revisit for years to come.
