Benefiting from its co-stars -- Melissa McCarthy continuing her 2011 Bridesmaids shtick and Sandra Bullock acting as a dedicated, although naive perfectionist -- The Heat generates enough laughs to entertain the audience for the meantime -- and/or until another more memorable comedy steals the spotlight.
