Let's not even mention zombie themed horror-comedy classics such as 2004's Shaun of the Dead or 2009's Zombieland in the same category as Warm Bodies, a charming cash-in on the recent successes of young adult spins on horror movie monsters, however, whether it's intentional or not, it just ends up becoming as underwhelming as its fellow young adult film-adaptions.
Because whether or not we're meant to laugh at certain sequences, it's just an appalling spin on one of horror's scariest figure that thinks using camp humor will rescue it from fading into oblivion and obscurity, it doesn't though.
