Review of The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973) by Stefan G — 01 Apr 2013
I do admit that the characters and the story are cliched, and not fleshed out very well. However, it is an example that film making styles don't have to change with time. In fact, I think it was trying to be more like a Saturday afternoon matinee film, given the production values, which make the movie look like it came from the late 50's or early 60's.
What redeems this movie is the camp value of Ray Harryhausen's animation effects. Otherwise, it's pretty boring.
