Review of The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973) by Brad G — 22 Jul 2010
Although nowhere near as entertaining or cool as The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, John Phillip Law is definitely the most Sinbady Sinbad. He's got the look, the sea legs, and the swagger. Too bad the Ray Harryhausen stop-motion action set pieces are few and far between with only the multi-arm Kali sword fight really hitting its mark.
The centaur and griffin are cool, but it just doesn't match the dragon/cyclops battle. Caroline Munro (what a getup) sure is pretty on the eyes though. Not classic Harryhausen, but you could do worse.
