Review of The Florida Project (2017) by Chester N — 11 Feb 2018
Intriguing, although a little annoying (The Kids) at some times. The Florida project is an exploration and depiction of how the world looks like for a lower class poor community. Through the eyes of a group of kids we discover that life is hard, but not impossible.
Growing up in an environment makes you become the environment and that's well portrayed. No morals, no extreme plot twist, but just a realistic depiction of life. Willem Dafoe has a non-dominant part in the movie, but delivers an Oscar worthy performance.
Without noticing you start to realize how amazing he portrays his character. Dafoe rises above the overall quality of the film and shows us you can be outstanding without glitter and glamour. Worth seeing I you have the time.
