This is US-192 in a nutshell: ratchet. It's funny because I live in Orlando and have passed through uS 192 plenty of times. It's pretty funny and cute seeing these kids interactions. The little is especially funny and cute.

This movie just shows the lack of culture the Orlando/Kissimmee area has. Gift shops, motels, everything is based on tourism. It's sad actually seeing how miserable the town I come from is. Brazilians! They come like flocks of pigeons to Orlando. It's ridiculous.

It's such a charmingly dysfunctional community. Kids being kids. That mother is such bad influence on her daughter. No wonder the girl is always getting into trouble and doing mischievous shit.

I'm so glad they put Willem Dafoe's character in this movie. He's the only hero in this movie. If it weren't for his character, all would seem hopeless and just seem like a bunch of bums scrounging around not doing shit with there lives. The white mother with her gangster wannabe talk is annoying at times. It's pretty much a child trying to raise a child.

What made the movie so watchable and interesting were the genuine interactions between everyone. I felt so bad for he little girl at the end but that was good acting right there.

Wow, it just hit me at the what Orlando is. Disney is like this perfect kingdom, this perfect place, but then everything around it suffers a bit. The sad part is that Disney is a theme park and everything is fake about it. Nature is real. I didn't really like the ending but I get it and I see how it fits the movie well. The only good thing that can happen to the little girl is to escape into fantasy since everything is going downhill. It's actually a pretty sad movie but the director did a great job by not making it too sappy. It's pretty endearing movie especially with the ending. I can definitely relate to the ending. Sometimes I wish I could just escape to another place but being that I am from Orlando, my escape would be elsewhere maybe West.

Really great movie. It made me think a lot and brought back some memories from the city that I'm from. Willem Dafoe's character just happens to be in the middle of all of this. He's the only character I really liked and can relate to. He's just trying to get by and do the best he can by helping out.
