Review of The Duellists (1977) by Phil W — 03 Mar 2006
I'm not one for costume dramas, they are boring. This isn't. The duelling scenes are epic and you just know that Keitel is going to be spoiling for a rumble as soon as the last one finishes. I don't know how historically accurate it is, but this is just how I imagine duelling was and the benchmark for how I judge a duel in a movie.
