Review of The Double Life of Véronique (1991) by Miikka H — 21 Dec 2007
I thought I had seen beautiful films, but none of them can come even close with this poetic yet fragile piece of art. Definitively Kieslowski's finest.
Mystical, puzzling, heartbreaking and funny in an innocent way - there is an comfortable and warm feeling guaranteed after watching this one. The use of colors and light resemble Tarkovsky's Zerkalo and the music is used perfectly. Irene Jacob is simply amazing.
