Review of The Deer Hunter (1978) by Lilly H — 04 May 2015
A very moving film that shows the horrors of war and the prevailing of friendship. The Deer Hunter manages to create a strong bond between characters and viewers. Three similar friends go to fight in the Vietnam war, and three very different people emerge from the battlefield.
As a WWI general once said: "You cannot rouse the animal in man then expect it to be put aside at a moments notice.".
