[color=black][font=Book Antiqua]Last night I caught an amazing movie called, "The Best Years of Our Lives" on TCM (of course). I must admit that I don't know of too many films that deal with what happens to the service men and women after World War II. There are a lot of films that deal with before and during the war but I don't know of any that deal with how the GI's integrate once they are home. The writing and the actors did an amazing job. This movie is apart of TCM's 31days of Oscars. I think this film won many Oscars. Among them are for writing, best supporting actor, and best director (please don't quote in all of this because I'm not sure). "The Best Years of Our Lives" is about these three GIs who come home to their families and what happens once they are home. Each of the three friends have to take different paths. One of the GI's hands were blown off during the war and is having trouble excepting it. The other two friends are dealing with issues of their own. This film not only deals with test of friendship but what happens to the families that are left behind during the war. I would suggest this movie to anyone. "The Best Years of Our Lives" is definitely timeless as well poignant. Please see what you think.[/font][/color].
