This groudbreaking film deals with many themes faced by postwar veterans that were rarely discussed previously. Matters dealing with occupational handicap, military-civilian role reversal, society status and unemployment are dealt with head-on.
Excellent acting, somewhat overacted, with an engaging plot and characters come together in a strong rally cry for the immediate postwar era. Some themes are remarkably similar to "All Quiet On The Western Front".
