Review of The Apartment (1960) by Fraser C — 07 Sep 2009
Pretty depressing. Every single character in this film is unlikeable and morally bankrupt (with the exception of the good hearted neighbours). our female lead is a silly little girl who is having an affair with an awful married man.
Jack Lemmon's character is a weak willed sycophant, trying to arse kiss his way to the top. On top of that the film itself is pretty grim and about 30 minutes too long. Great performance from Jack Lemmon tho.
