Review of Targets (1968) by Private U — 26 Jun 2007
It's appropriate that TARGETS was released in 1968 - the year NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD changed horror films forever - since it deals with the collision of two distinct types of horror: the old-fashioned, gothic horror represented by aging horror film star Byron Orlock (Boris Karloff), and the distinctly modern horror of a clean-cut, all-American boy (Tim O'Kelly) who goes on a senseless killing spree.
A masterpiece.
