Review of Silence (2017) by Stefan Florin V — 29 Dec 2017
Truly a masterpiece...with a heartbreaking story extremely well acted from all it's actors. Andrew Garfield deserved an oscar for this, his performance was so good that you could felt what his character felt in those intense moments.
Even if you are not religious you need to see this film. Gorgeously filmed and with the impressive lack of a soundtrack, a "silence" that is more powerful than a good soundtrack. The movie shows the horrific reality of the events that happened in the 17th century in a way that only a director like Martin Scorsese could deliver.
Adam Driver and Liam Neeson had a small part in Silence , but that small part will stuck with you for days. Overall it's an underrated film , not for everybody , that asks patience , but gives you a lesson about humanity and how a single man is enough to make a change.
