It's been known that the 3 rd movie in a trilogy is never the best , yet The Return Of The King proves us wrong. A moving and satisfying conclusion to , by far , the greatest trilogy out there. Visually stunning , well acted , an incredible soundtrack and breathtaking CGI that hold even today.
Peter Jackson managed to do what very few directors can do , give us the masterpieces that are The Fellowship Of The Ring , The Two Towers and The Return Of The King. I highly recommend the extended cut that brings 1 hour of extra footage.
Anyway it deserved it's incredible 11 Oscars and will go down as one of the best movies ever.
