Review of Scarface (1932) by Dr. F P — 26 Jan 2013
Scarface is a great movie for me not because of Al Pacino as Tony Montana or the interesting story but because of all the style in the background. I LOVE the soundtrack to this movie, the locations and clothes, the CHAINSAW! I'd say that Tony Montana is kind of difficult to completely like and i'm not sure if sometimes he's meant to come across as a bit slow, perhaps that's because he's speaking English, i'm not sure.
If it were paced better this would be a lot better in my opinion. Anyway, I think gangsters and the vibe of the 1980s go pretty good together at the right time, other time it's just cheesy.
