Review of Scarface (1932) by Kurt F — 05 Nov 2017

10/28/17 This is a classic, but a bit over- rated. I believe I had seen it before, (and actually probably within a few years) but didn't remember much of it. It is very violent, and I think was really just going for shock factor.

That might have worked back in the 80s, but it is hard to shock someone these days. Lots of filler between a few good scenes in the film. OK, but not as good as I had expected it to be. I don't particularly care if a film has "quotable lines" either.

I will never quote them.
