Review of Satyricon (1969) by Brian S — 10 Sep 2010
Trying to describe this film to someone who hasn't seen it would be like trying to explain color to a blind person. This is a work of art that doesn't try to go with the sofa. It's a vision as much as it is a film, and that vision isn't always pleasant but it is always unique.
It may shock, it may even repulse, but it never diminishes in brilliance. One of the greatest films ever made. Those who have never seen it have missed out. Don't wait any longer to see this hallucinatory, engrossing, beauty-and-horror masterpiece.
