Review of Power Rangers (2017) by Thesodomizer — 11 Aug 2018
Power Rangers in a few words is a crippling disappointment. It's slow it drags and it definitely isn't entertaining and its somehow more dull than Fantastic 4. The plot is poorly developed and bland, the cast is incredibly uninspired and the dialogue is generic and boring. Clearly a cash grab, a failed cash grab not even making twice its budget ($100 million). Figuring it has a $100 million budget it should have at least good CGI and visuals, but it doesn't because the CGI is broken and poor like the rest of this movie.
Elisabeth Banks playing the villainess gave me some hope, however I was left disappointed again. Banks easily had the worst performance in already a cast full of dull uninspired actors. I for the first time found it almost unbearable to stay awake during a film.
Power Rangers could have been much more and there are moments where the audience can almost feel what Power Rangers could have been but every single one of the moments falls flat and the audience is back into a plot less black hole.
