Review of Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979) by Caque A — 20 Oct 2007
The best Herzog film? Kinski's defining performance? Surely the best vampire film ever made, but it is much more than that: a commentary on nature, capitalism, Europe, desire, greed, the Holocaust, religion, and death.
Herzog is also a great camera man. The music (Wagner, Popol Vuh) is perfect. One of the top five most horrifying films ever.
