Review of Outpost (2008) by Andrew C — 07 Feb 2011
I suppose itâ??s conceivable that there might be someone out there who is of the opinion that the only thing that could improve The Wild Geese would be the addition of Nazi zombies. Such a hypothetical viewer would doubtless find this film watchable enough, but despite decent performances, a couple of gory moments and a confident visual style, it remains curiously unengaging, running out of steam near the end, while simultaneously taking an unreasonable amount of time to get started at the beginning.
There are numerous war / horror hybrids, but I donâ??t think I can recall one that was successful, and this addition to the subgenre does not buck the trend.
