Review of Nobody Knows (2004) by Linda N — 18 Jul 2007
The attention to the simple details in this film creates an intimate atmosphere where the audience can quickly forge a bond with the characters. Of all the films that I have seen, this one has evoked the most emotion out of me.
Perhaps it is because of the depressing plot or maybe a combination of that and the absence of emotion from the little children as they live that nightmare. It almost seems that they put on these brave faces to deal with situations that we ourselves would never be able to endure and with that, we the audience feel as though the emotion that we should be seeing on the screen is actually the reaction that the movie evokes out of us.
Brilliant.
