Review of Nobody Knows (2004) by Tor M — 13 Nov 2016
We meet a a mother that tend to leave her four kids home alone for days at the time. One day she seem to leave for good. She sends some money occationatly, but the oldest one, aged around 12 is naturally not fitted to take care of the three others. They don't attend school, they don't hav eany friends.
Starts of slow, bit this is a grinder. It's a very dark story, even if it's filled with joyful scenes as well. Amazing acting - by all the kids really. The oldest kid even recieved an award at Cannes for his part.
Very sad and very realistic film, based on a true story. It's like a film portraying heroin addicts, but instead of junkies there are kids and instead of addiction to drugs there are addiction to love and care. Very solid film.
8.5 out of 10 squeeky shoes.
