Review of M (1931) by Alex H — 13 May 2010
A suspense classic. This, actually, was among the FIRST suspense movies. The whole movie has a sort of gritty and almost claustrophobic feel to it. With a great performance from the lead, a dynamic story that leaves you with something to think about, and apart from the haunting whistling of "In The Hall of the Mountain King"....no music. If you like well done suspenseful crime movies that you have to let ferment in your brain before fully understanding, this is the one. Definitely see this.
(Also, I thought that the part where the "M" comes in is pure flippin' genius.).
