Review of M (1931) by Anders A — 27 Dec 2015
One of the earliest masterpieces of history of film. Fritz Langs first film with audio, which unfolds like swiss clockwork, using the Edward Grieg "Hall of the mountain King" theme creating an unique mood.
The characters feelings and souls are poured out visually, making it crawl under your skin. Also the unique insight in the very much realistic view on German as it were, back in 1931, poor, dark and hopeless.
Peter Lorres expressions are needless to describes as they are legendary and sharp as any spear.
