Shows that there is honor amongst thieves. Sort of. When a child murderer runs rampant, the police perform a bunch of raids in order to catch this monster. The mafia is fed up with their business being disturbed by this man hunt and decide to go after this killer themselves.
The story gets better as it goes on. Acting is great. Sound dips in and out. It was made in 1931 after all.
Definitely serves as a great source of inspiration for decades worth of who-done-its.
Not fantastic by today's standards, but still very good.
