Review of Lord of the Flies (1963) by Gastón V — 06 Oct 2008
This film is great and artistic in it's own right. The acting is superb considering these are real British schoolboys with no previous acting experience, but really what makes the movie is the excellent directing on Peter Brook's part.
You could take any frame of the movie and put it on your wall as an art piece. Some parts in the book were reworked for the film and it's fairly obvious, but it's easy to look past, because the film itself is so damn good.
