Review of Lord of the Flies (1963) by Dawdlingpoet — 25 Nov 2021
This is a somewhat thought provoking film. I was aware of the story, the main story certainly and I found some of the dialogue somewhat poignant. I suppose it's (if in part) a critical look at English colonialism, for one thing.
The group/pack mentality is something that's probably just as relevant now as when the book was written and film made, I imagine, if not more so in a sense. The ending is somewhat bittersweet. Yes, I'd recommend this film.
