Review of London to Brighton (2006) by Bojana B — 15 Oct 2009
(2008 Director: Paul Andrew Williams) This is a fascinating study. The story of a life-alterating event is told of 2 women, Kelly in her 20's (Lorraine Stanley) and Joann, still a girl (Georgia Groome), each down on their luck.
How do they get to this harsh moment in their lives? This film tells that story, showing us the rougher side of London, where like almost anywhere runaways turn to the oldest profession just to get by.
Derek (Johnny Harris), and Chum (Nathan Constance) portray two business associates. small timethugs. Stuart Allen (Alexander Morton) and Duncan Allen (Sam Spruell) are a wealthy father and son respectively. Lot of suspense in well-written and well directed thriller--a portrait of a period of 24 hours.
