Review of London to Brighton (2006) by Amber-Laine A — 09 Dec 2009
In my opinion it's probably one of the best british films that I've seen!
The acting was superb which helped to carry off the entire 80-85 minutes without a slight rest!
Pretty intense & also a bit of harsh reality in my opinion...but that's what the movie wanted to portray right?
Georgia groome also reminded me of jodie foster in taxi driver.
After I finished watching it I asked myself many questions.
Was the ending proper? Was the judgement pased by the gangster's son correct? Which of the characters I'd support? & many such conflicting questions that challenge the morals.....in some Hindi films I've seen it happening & believe it or not even in news you'd hear about things like this.
But indeed a great movie packed with better perfomances......& yes as you'd expect from British films generally it is pretty strong in aspects of language...but all that made the film seem real!
I'd like to recommend this film to anyone who enjoys movies which combine these kind of crime-elments with social realism!
