I'm fond of Antonioni, but this film didn't impress me very much. I appreciate the use of locations. Antonioni never disappoints in that department. Most of the cinematography was nice too.
Now, Monica Vitti is gorgeous in L'AVVENTURA!!! She's almost as beautiful as Monica Bellucci. However, Gabriele Ferzetti, is ugly!
L'AVVENTURA feels more like a Fellini film. LA DOLCE VITA came out around the same time as this film. The silly socialites remind me of Fellini's characters.
But having a female as the central character is awesome. Anna's mysterious disappearance and the new "love" between Sandro and Claudia is believable, even though he's so ugly and she looks like a god.
