A man's girlfriend mysteriously goes missing on a small island, just moments after she breaks up with him. Gorgeous looking romance-cum-mystery arthouse classic by Michelangelo Antonioni. It meanders in places - there's easily a 90 minute film inside its 2 and a half hour running time - but the scenery, the beautiful actors (Monica Vitti takes my breath away) and stunning black and white cinematography makes it all worthwhile and a pleasure to watch.
