Review of L'Avventura (1960) by Rod A — 04 Sep 2008
Long and withering look at some beautiful, rich people whose ideals and loves are compromised, and who live with the presence of an absence in their lives. Antonioni was certainly developing a new kind of cinema here, and there are many moments to wonder at - for my tastes, it doesn't quite offer the wonders of L'eclisse and La Notte.
