Review of L'Avventura (1960) by Matt G — 07 Jul 2014
A spectactular, haunting film, devoid of any generic plot devices or tidy resolutions. I was wholly unprepared for both the vaugeness of its storyline and the complexity of its characters. It also bears mentioning that many of the shots in this film, especially towards the beginning, are stunningly beautiful.
Before the week is out, I intend to view it again, simply to absorb all of its intricacies.
