Review of L'Avventura (1960) by Andrew R — 29 Jun 2014
Observant art house with love pangs and loneliness brewing at its core, Antonioni crafts a measured meander through Italy and the distances we travel to find what we think we are looking for, have found, and throw away when it's right in front of us.
It was never about finding Anna, but that love can be oh so lonely. Melodramatic undertones indeed.
