Review of La Strada (1954) by Joey D — 20 Jun 2007
Always on the road - celebrations and brutality. I respect The Fool more than Zampano - embracing the absurdity. Quite the spirit. Gelsomina is so bizarre, reminded me of my character. And the score is gorgeous.
A world wrote into/with sound. What a CIRCUS: magical, excitable, yet real at the same time. It blends the boundary of "real"ism. Freaky, gorgeous.
