Review of La Strada (1954) by Pier-Philippe D — 27 Feb 2008
A great exhibition on the relationship of one human to another. Proves that we seek some form of companionship and that learning to interact with one another is one of the most important tools to succeed in society.
Gulietta's face expresses such innocence and animation that she is much like a clown, sad yet evokes happiness. And Zampano being her opposite as a dark, violent and closed off character, together makes their development of a relationship and companionship that fills the void for each others life such a beautiful optimistic story, regardless of the tragic ending.
