Review of Kiss the Ground (2020) by Nanay — 25 May 2021
Kiss the Ground is one of the first documentaries I have ever watched that left me feeling hopeful for the future and empowered to do something about it. The film is narrated by Woody Harrelson and focuses on the dire conditions of the worlds’ soil and the effects it has on climate change, animal extinction, water, and our food.
While the film talks about the negative impacts of the earth’s soil thus far, Woody Harrelson did an incredible job conveying optimism for the future. I really like that they provided solutions on how to help the world and featured real farmers and how they are able to grow their crops without using toxic chemicals and machinery that is harmful to the soil.
I recommend this film to anyone who wants to expand their knowledge on the earth’s soil, food, and the effects on the environment.
