Review of Kagemusha (1980) by Reed J — 02 Apr 2008
With this movie, director Akira Kurosawa returns to his epic style. The storyline reminscent of a Shakespeare tragedy presents a man about to me put to death, redeemed by a lord who opts to keep him as a double.
When the lord dies, he assumes the lord's role, thus keeping the secret of the lord's death... But is he successful, or will old habits bring his doom?
