Review of I've Loved You So Long (2008) by A H — 10 May 2009
I wasn't wow'ed by this film as I thought i'd be, but the acting was solid. kristin scott thomas is obviously the gimmick here, doing the entire movie in french, and it sounded labored at times (yeah, she lived in france and is fluent, but you can tell she took voice lessons when she's yelling at her sister in the end, and how her sentences trail off).
haven't seen a good french movie in some time, but that's not to say this was bad. if you want to feel empty or sad after an hour and 55 minutes, knock yourself out. but at least watch it to appreciate k.
S.t. and her acting abilities.
