Though Kristin Scott Thomas' performance is extraordinary, this is nothing more than a character study in a story begging for more. Though some may not see the finale coming (I did), it still rings false.
The hook was always that a great revelation about the "why" was coming, not a bait and switch leaving us feeling all gooey inside.
