Review of Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996) by Allaiyah W — 22 Jan 2015
Bloodline is the best entry in the Hellrasier series thus far. It showed how this whole fiasco started and how it followed a particular bloodline all the way to the future, in space. The backstory was actually interesting and along the way things kept upbeat and just plain fun to watch.
Before, Pinhead never felt like much a villain to me, he was just always kind of in the background and talked a lot. In this film he finally seemed scary and carried a sense of terror with him. There were never many slow scenes and although the whole "future in space" aspect was a little lame it made for a satisfying ending.
It may seem to be the final movie, but we all know none of the bad guys really die.
